ABOUT ESP TRUST
ESP Trust Introduction
Educational Sports Program Trust (ESP Trust) is a registered charitable trust that provides educational, mental and physical workshops for 35 of New Zealand’s U14 Rugby League players. New Zealand has always been a talent pool for Rugby League players and every year our young men become bigger, more athletic, stronger and faster than ever before yet more fragile both emotionally & mentally due to expectations and life as we know it today.
ESP camps take place at Western Springs Nga Puna O Waiorea / Western Springs College for 3 days/2 nights and is conducted with 2 different NRL Clubs. The focus of ESP camps is to provide our youth guidance and encouragement by utilizing what they love best... sport to deliver transferable life lessons. The community of Rugby League has always played second fiddle to its cousins Rugby Union in which a majority of the young involved come from a low socio-economic background which in turn can reflect one's character, discipline, wrong surroundings or attitude... the list can go on & on... or maybe they just don't get the right OPPORTUNITY.ESP Trust offer that point of difference by uplifting our young via what they are passionate about and using it to provide better options in their lives regardless of what they decided to do. ESP Trust coaching and mentoring are of the highest level in conjunction with guest speakers who make a difference with the messages they deliver. ESP Trust is not about just having a dream it’s about realizing the dream and understanding that whatever they choose to do in life the lessons that they take from ESP camps will prepare them for what is in front of them. Many of our young aspiring young men are not provided the education and coaching tools to look at the off-field characteristics that can be transferred into everyday life. We really are leaders in the raw talent department on the field but means nothing when we are not taught life values off the field. These are the core deliverables of ESP Trust……TO FOSTER, EDUCATE, CREATE PATHWAYS & PRODUCE NOT JUST FUTURE ATHLETES…BUT FUTURE GREAT YOUNG MEN.
