Andrew Chalmers Chairman
Andrew played his junior rugby league for Mt Albert in Auckland and played his senior football for the Wainuiomata club in Wellington, and then played reserve grade for the Balmain Tigers and Manly Sea Eagles clubs in Sydney in the Winfield Cup before injury ended his career. He holds a masters degree in finance and was an associate lecturer at the University of New South Wales. He has held executive roles in the travel, tourism, forestry and recruitment sectors. He was the former chairman of the New Zealand Rugby League, and a director of the the Rugby League International Federation and chairman and owner of the iconic British club the Bradford Bulls as well as investor and director of the Salford Red Devils in the UK Super League.
Dixon McIver Founding Trustee
Dixon McIver is the original founder of ESP Trust and has been around the high-performance sports industry since 1996 at the conclusion of his playing career with the inaugural London Broncos. Dixon’s wealth of knowledge in business spans across many varieties of professional corporations ranging from sports & event management, fashion, music to numerous executive positions within the hospitality & tourism industry. A registered NRL Accredited Agent since 2015 and a Certified Wellbeing Institute of Science, NRL Wellbeing Playbook deliverer, Dixon has extensive knowledge of the necessary pathway requirements to become a NRL player…it’s this knowledge and his passion for educating our young aspiring athletes that drives our delivery of camps annually.
Chantel Dicks Program Director
Chantel’s passion for sport and education comes to life in her role as Program Director at ESP Trust. Her journey has been marked by a commitment to fostering youth development and creating opportunities for young people to excel in both sports and academics. Throughout her career, Chantel has honed skills in account management, business development, event management, and recruitment, which she brings to the forefront of her work at ESP Trust. She believes that a strong foundation in sports can significantly enhance personal growth, teamwork, and leadership skills among youth, and is dedicated to cultivating programs that inspire and empower the next generation of athletes and scholars.Outside of her professional pursuits, she is deeply rooted in community engagement, advocating for initiatives that provide resources and support for youth in sports and education.
uTILISING SPORT TO BETTER OUR YOUTH
Each NRL Club will conduct a full 3 day camp consisting of skills, drills, education, health & wellbeing, leadership, character building & mentorship providing New Zealand's U14 Rugby League athletes the opportunity to realize the dream and what it takes to become not just an NRL Player but a good person in general. Thats 6 days of coaching by 2 different NRL clubs providing 2 different views along with specialist guest speakers and workshops, this is education via sport at its finest.
